BC Nature supports nature house in Shakesides

On March 9, 2017, BC Nature, which represents the Federation of BC Naturalists, sent a letter to the Town of Comox Chief Executive Officer, Richard Kanigan,m expressing support for “the development of Hamilton Mack Laing’s former home “Shakesides” as a public nature or natural history house, as expressed in his Trust of 1982”.
The letter also supports the proposal of the Comox Valley Naturalists Society and states that “the Town of Comox may be able to get monetary and expertise support from both conservation and government organizations which would reduce the cost to your local taxpayer.”
