#1 — The Town of Comox has failed to recognize a unique opportunity to build community spirit. Instead of rallying people to raise funds and restore Mack Laing’s Shakesides house, council has chosen to fuel divisiveness over the issue. But, it’s not too late to change course.
#2 — Legal and ethical questions still hover over how the Town of Comox has handled the Mack Laing Trust fund.
#3 — Community concern about the Mack Laing Trust is not new. Ruth Masters, for example, was asking questions in 2001.
