A sunny, warm afternoon – a definite improvement over recent weather – meant that the MLHS birthday party for Mack Laing was a success. It was well-attended by between 30 and 35 local citizens of all ages. They found the party behind Shakesides and stayed to chat, learn about Mack Laing, ask questions, and enjoy a hot drink or fruit juice and sweet treats from the Cumberland Bakery.
While there, two MLHS members hauled out holly trees that had been cut down and left in place, by some unknown person. Holly is an invasive and is being removed from the park as part of the MLHS invasives removal program.
